For brands choosing a product, these methods also mean different ways to add fragrance, clean the device and replace refills. Here is how the four main types work and what each offers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ultrasonic diffusers: vibration makes the mist<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A common ultrasonic aroma diffuser<\/a> has a water tank with a ceramic atomizing element at the bottom. When switched on, this element vibrates rapidly, turning liquid into fine droplets. A small built-in fan then carries the mist out of the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many people do not realize that these diffusers contain a fan. It helps move the mist; the ceramic element does the atomizing. The cloud you see is cool mist, rather than steam from boiling water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The user fills the tank with water and adds the fragrance recommended for the model. After use, the tank needs regular cleaning to remove deposits and leftover fragrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This familiar routine, together with a wide choice of decorative covers, makes ultrasonic diffusers an option for home fragrance ranges.
